The UW Women’s Health and Health Equity Research Lecture & Symposium, presented by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is an annual meeting that connects healthcare professionals, population health experts and community advocates dedicated to advancing health equity. Submissions are currently being accepted for Brief & Brilliant (B&B) talk presentations. B&B talks aim to translate women’s health and health equity research in ways that engage a broad audience and emphasize the public relevance of this work. The goal is to emphasize the main conclusions of the research rather than the methodological details behind it. Five scholars will be selected to each give a 3-minute lightning talk, highlighting an idea from their area of work that is particularly important, relevant, or intriguing. B&B talks will be given on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Submissions are due Sunday, August 13 at 11:59pm.
