The University of Wisconsin-Madison Prevention Research Center (UWPRC) developed tools for investigators to use in preparing research dissemination and translation activities. Jane Mahoney, MD, UWPRC Associate Director of Translation, collaborated with investigators and the UWPRC Translational Partners Panel (TPP) to create the Dissemination Planning Tool and the Translation Planning Tool. The Dissemination Planning Tool guides investigators through the process of deliberately planning the distribution of research findings, information, and tools. The Translation Planning Tool guides investigators through the process of planning for effective and widespread use of science-based programs, practices, and policies.
Instructions for completing the tools are available within the downloadable tool documents. All investigators are encouraged to download and use the tools.
