Congratulations to Ayanna Vasquez, MD, MS for completing her Preventive Medicine Residency! During her residency, Dr. Vasquez assisted the UWPRC with grant writing and evaluation projects. She also completed quality improvement projects in women’s health and addiction medicine, as well as surveillance and evaluation of cancer and infectious diseases and emergency preparedness training as a resident. She will be starting a position with the Veterans Affairs Advanced Fellowship in Women’s Health at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in July. As a fellow she will leverage her experience to design a surveillance project related to cardiovascular health/hypertension among women veterans.
