The CDC in partnership with HHS Office of Minority Health and CDC Foundation, with support from Merck for Mothers, has released new resources as part of the Hear Her™ campaign to honor the voices of American Indian and Alaska Native people and work towards improving maternal health outcomes.

The new segment of the campaign centers stories from five American Indian women who experienced pregnancy-related complications. Culturally appropriate resources, including conversation guides, palm cards, and posters, are intended to raise awareness of urgent maternal warning signs to help American Indian and Alaska Native people receive the care they need. Resources are also available for healthcare professionals who serve American Indian and Alaska Native communities to support respectful, culturally appropriate care.
