HHS Environmental Justice Community Innovator Challenge

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) and the Office of Minority Health (OMH) are seeking community-led strategies and tools to address health disparities in communities disproportionately impacted by environmental risks and hazards through the HHS Environmental Justice Community Innovator Challenge. The Challenge allows community voices to participate in the development of novel innovative approaches to address adverse health impacts of environmental conditions and increase community resilience within their local, disproportionately impacted communities. Up to 12 submissions may be selected to each receive a prize of up to $25,000 as part of Phase 1 and up to 10 submissions may be selected to each receive a minimum prize of $70,000 as part of Phase 2. Submissions for Phase 1 are due by January 30, 2024 at 10:59 pm CT. Submissions for Phase 2 are due by June 30, 2024 at 10:59 pm CT.
