Call for Abstracts: Advancing the Adaptability of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Through Implementation Science

Please see information below about a call for abstracts for a Prevention Science supplemental issue entitled, “Advancing the Adaptability of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Through Implementation Science.”

The supplemental issue, coordinated by the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), will highlight innovations in the implementation and advancement of chronic disease prevention and management both during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of particular interest is research on expanding public health workforce roles and scope of practice, addressing social determinants of health and increasing health equity through public health interventions, scaling and spreading evidence-based public health programs and practices, building infrastructure to support the adoption of evidence-based public health programs and practices; and strengthening systems of care to reduce health disparities.

Authors interested in contributing a manuscript for this special issue are asked to submit a letter of intent to NNPHI by October 15, 2021, which includes the following: (1) tentative title; (2) brief description of 500 words or less; (3) brief justification (one to two sentences) of how the proposed submission aligns with the special issue topic and goals; and (4) author affiliations for all authors and contact information for corresponding author.
