Academics for Black Survival and Wellness is back with new training content for 2021!
Academics for Black Survival and Wellness (A4BL) is a personal and professional development initiative for Non-Black academics to honor the toll of racial trauma on Black people, resist anti-Blackness and white supremacy, and facilitate accountability and collective action. A4BL also is a space for healing and wellness for Black people.
From June 19th to July 3rd, they will have new Black wellness and anti-racism training content, events, and workshops that will be synchronous and asynchronous.
Registration for 2021 A4BL opens on May 24th.
Call for Workshop and Event Proposals
This year, they are inviting the A4BL community and others with expertise in Black liberation, radical healing, anti-racism, allyship, advocacy and more to submit proposals for workshops and events during the 2021 A4BL initiative. Applicants can propose a workshop or event for the Black wellness track, anti-racism track, or content open to everyone.
Proposals are due by Monday, May 31st at 11:59pm PST.
On June 1st, the anti-racism training content from 2020 will be available on the A4BL website. The Black wellness content is accessible now.
A4BL is a grassroots organization that relies on the donations of the A4BL community to sustain this work and support Black liberation. Donate here to support the 2021 events.
