The Native American Center for Health Professions (NACHP) is pleased to announce the Distinguished Lecture Series featuring the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board’s Paths (Re)Membered Project. The lecture series is sponsored by the Indians into Medicine (INMED), Indian Health Service grant.

The first lecture will describe Two Spirit and gender diversity among American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) peoples, as grounded in lived experience, collective knowledge-sharing, and qualitative research. Indigenous healthcare systems and structures will be described as they relate to: (1) cultivating affirming environments for AI/AN Two Spirit, Indigiqueer, transgender, and gender-diverse peoples, and (2) provisioning affirming care amid current sociopolitical landscapes in the United States. Finally, opportunities for additional learning and advocacy will be shared, with particular emphasis on the resources available at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board’s Paths (Re)Membered Project and Indian Country ECHO.
