Overall Goal

The purpose of the summit is to highlight individuals and organizations that are using diverse methods and approaches to innovate in hypertension prevention, care, and treatment. By assembling individuals and organizations leading the field, OWH aims to increase knowledge and awareness of innovative practices in hypertension care, thereby empowering attendees to apply and adapt such practices to their current work.

Key Objectives

• Increase awareness of hypertension as an urgent public health issue
• Increase understanding of new approaches that have been proven effective in combating hypertension
• Learn about the process of innovation and bringing evidence into practice – leading to increased confidence in being able to innovate in the hypertension space
• Generate new ideas for developing innovative approaches to improve women’s health outcomes related to hypertension
• Develop partnerships with experts in the field of hypertension treatment and prevention as well and individuals or community-based organizations that are positioned to improve heart health in their communities
